DuBois Lady Lions Win Again

The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team evened their record (4-4) with a 72-59 win over Butler County Community College on Monday night.  The PSUD squad has now won four out of their five games after a 0-3 start.

The Lady Lions used a strong defensive effort while they built a 32-24 halftime lead.  Kristy Hanes (Elk County) hit six three pointers on her way to a career high 22 points and Ashley Brown (Otto Eldred) hauled in a career high 17 rebounds while adding 8 points.

Joining them in double figures included Mary Pillot's (Bald Eagle Area) double-double as she scored 17 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and by Grace Earle (Cowanesque Valley) hitting a career high 15 points.  Ashley Reitz (Punxsutawney) and Linsey Mizic (Pottsgrove) combined in a strong defensive effort while together, Juli Vokes (Brockway) and Koren McCullough hauled in 12 rebounds.

The Lady Lions return to action as they travel to Penn State Beaver, Friday, December 12, 2014.  Game time is 6:00.
