Volleyball Is Headed To The National Tournament

For the second time in Penn State DuBois volleyball history, the volleyball team has made the USCAA National Championship Tournament held in Virginia Beach.  DuBois was on the bubble of teams to get in to the tournament, and watched the national selection show intently on Thursday evening.

The field is made up of the 6 best teams from across the country, and DuBois has been ranked in the top 5 all year.  However, an early loss in the PSUAC championship tournament (to the eventual conference champions) left room for doubt in making it to the national tournament, but there was still room for hope.

After hearing the first 4 teams called, the room grew to a deafening silence.  As the fifth seed was called an eruption of cheers burst through the auditorium when the USCAA called Penn State DuBois to their second national tournament appearance.

DuBois will start pool play on Thursday, November 11th before the final bracket play starts on Friday.  DuBois will be in pool play with the University of Cincinnati-Clermont, and Paul Smith's College.

DuBois has the country's leader in assists in Catherine Gregory, and the PSUAC West Rookie of the Year and 2nd in the country in kills with Sydney Kaschalk.  DuBois also has hard hitters Skylar Ceprish, who was on the National Tournament team from 2018, Kiyara Girvan, and Nicolette Brossard to try to bring home a National Championship.

We will be releasing more information on times as it becomes available to us, and below is a link to bracket and other information for the tournament.
