The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team took a trip to play PSU Greater Allegheny last night. DuBois jumped off to a great start as Lexey Shick put up 11 points in the 1st quarter to put her team up, 21-16 going into the 2nd.
Another rush in the 2nd quarter by DuBois would give them a very nice lead headed into the locker room for halftime up, 48-32.
Greater Allegheny would try to make a comeback in the 3rd quarter, but DuBois would keep them at bay for the remaining time and go on to win the game, 89-80.
Shick would end with 26 points on an 8 for 14 showing from the field. Shick would also pull down 10 rebounds, and dish out 4 assists.
Tara Hinderliter would lead DuBois in points with 27 as teammate Sara DeHaas would add 12 points of her own.
DuBois will travel to Mont Alto on Saturday for the first round of the PSUAC Championship Tournament.
