Lady Lions Win Big

Lady Lions Win Big

Penn State DuBois Lady Lions travelled to New Kensington last night for their first game since the Thanksgiving break.  The offense didn't miss a beat for not playing a game in over a week.  Cierra O'Shell started things off in the first quarter for DuBois as she knocked down 2 three pointers to score half of the first quarter points.  Lexey Shick had an assist on every single DuBois basket in the first quarter, and DuBois would lead at the first break, 12-5.

Scoring in the second quarter became more diverse, and DuBois would put up another 18 to go into the locker room with the lead, 30-19.

The third quarter saw DuBois start strong again as Tara Hinderliter would grab 2 big offensive rebounds, and have 2 steals in the quarter.  Shick would put up 6 points herself, and Emileigh Syster would pull down 4 rebounds.

The fourth quarter started and finished the same way the entire game had gone, DuBois in complete control.  Shannon Shaw would score 6 in the final quarter, while Syster would grab 4 more rebounds.  DuBois would end the game with their largest margin of victory on the season, 65-35.

Shick would end with 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists, while leading scorer O'Shell would finish with 15 points on 50% from the field.

Shaw would end the game with 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 steals.  A huge night on the boards for Syster would see her finish with 11 rebounds, and Hayley Matter would shoot 4-6 from the field to finish with 10 points of her own.
