DuBois Lady Lions Pick Up Conference Win

The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team improved to (6-10) with a 78-36 win over Penn State Worthington Scranton on Sunday afternoon.  The Lady Lions built a half time lead of twenty-one points and then used an aggressive man-to-man defense and a school single game record of 63 rebounds against Schuylkill to run away in the second half.

The Lady Lions were lead by four players that registered double figures.  Kristen Williams (Eisenhower) 17 points; Melody Young (Otto Eldred) 12 points, 12 rebounds; Latascia Shadle (Galeton) 16 points; and Kaelyn Gruver (Redbank Valley) 11 points, 12 rebounds.

"It was a really nice road win in the conference because every player had an opportunity to get some good quality minutes and contribute to this win", stated Coach Lewis. 

The PSUD Lady Lions return to action as they travel to Penn State Greater Allegany, Tuesday, January 26, 2016.  Game time is 6:00.
