Softball Ends PSUAC Play

On day 2 of the PSUAC playoff tournament, DuBois softball had to face Brandywine in game 1 of the day.  On day 1, DuBois defeated Brandywine in an extra inning, 11-10 victory.  Today, DuBois would strike first with a single run in the bottom of the 1st inning, but Brandywine would come back with their own offensive attack.

DuBois would go into the bottom of the 7th, down 6-3.  A rally ensued, but the 2 runs would not be enough, and DuBois would drop the game, 6-5.  Paige Plate and Cayleigh Huffman would both hit for doubles, and Pleta would add 2 RBI's on the day.

Game 2 saw DuBois facing Brandywine again in the double elimination tournament.  Brandywine would be the first ones to strike this game with 7 runs in the 1st inning.  DuBois would run into offensive road blocks, and not score a run in the game as they would be defeated, 11-0.

DuBois will now await the USCAA Bid Show that takes place on Sunday, May 8th at 5:30pm to see if they make it to the USCAA Small College World Series this year.
