Penn State DuBois is excited to announce the signing of Hanna Richey. Hanna is a senior at Chartiers-Houston in Houston, Pennsylvania.

Hanna becomes the first recruit that was coached by Penn State DuBois Head Coach, Jason Kern before being hired at PSUD in October 2017. "I coached Hanna briefly in the Fall of 2017 before accepting this position. Hanna was in middle school and I was the high school coach at McGuffey High School. We had a fall ball team and we would have a couple middle school players on the team and Hanna was one of those players", Kern said. Hanna's family eventually moved to Houston, Pa and had to change high schools. At Chartiers-Houston, she was coached by long-time, successful high school coach, Tricia Alderson and was part of a successful high school team. "Hanna is athletic, she is also a good soccer player and is one of those kids that are easily coached. She takes constructive criticism and her competitiveness to win drives her to succeed. I can't wait until she's on campus next Fall and have the opportunity to coach her again, that doesn't happen too often", Kern said.

Penn State DuBois is coming off a 4th place finish in the Small College World Series and opens the 2022 season on the road in Florida in early March.
