Penn State DuBois is excited to announce the signing of Curwensville High School Senior softball player, Abby Pentz.

Abby is a Center Fielder that has experience as a Short Stop as well. Abby had an outstanding senior season for the Tide, batting .600 with 14 doubles, 5 triples, 7 home runs, 36 RBI's and 25 stolen bases. Her career numbers are equally impressive, with a .489 batting average which includes 108 hits, 31 doubles, 13 triples, 7 home runs, 69 RBI's, 94 runs scored, and 40 stolen bases. Abby was a 2019 & 2021 District 9, Progressland and Mo-Valley League All-Star. She also was a 2021 All-State Outfielder and a 2019 All-State Infielder.

"Abby is an all-around solid player that has the chance to make an immediate impact both offensively and defensively", said Penn State DuBois Head Coach Jason Kern. "She has the speed to bat at the top of the lineup, the power to bat in the middle of the lineup and the ability to turn over the lineup. She comes from a good high school program and her personality will mesh well with her teammates", Kern said.
