Softball Signs Beaver-Beaston
Penn State DuBois is excited to announce the signing of Central Dauphin Senior softball player, Hailee Beaver-Beaston.

Hailee is a catcher that Penn State DuBois Head Coach, Jason Kern, started recruiting immediately following her sophomore year, and a player that comes from a winning program. "Hailee has played in some big games and has caught really good pitchers at Central Dauphin", Kern said. "She has a great travel ball and high school resume and I feel she will make a smooth transition to college ball. She won a state championship her sophomore year and never let the moment get too big for herself. She's a polite young lady that never quit smiling during her recruiting trip. I can't wait for her to be on campus, get a outstanding education and watch her succeed on and off the field."

At the time of this story, Hailee was batting .432 with an On Base Percentage of .468. However, it's her defense that Kern is looking forward to the most. "We lost one of our catchers right before the season started this year and that put a lot of pressure on Larissa James-LaBranche", Kern said. "LJ is a tough kid and I'm proud of her durability this year and being named PSUAC All-Conference. She appeared in all 40 games, catching more than 35 of those games. That is a lot of wear and tear on your body in such a short amount of time. Now with Hailee coming in, we may arguably have the 2 best catchers in the conference. What's great about LJ and Hailee, both have the ability to play in the infield and allows us to give one of them a break now and then."
