Softball Suffers Loss, but Ready for Second Round

The Penn State DuBois Softball team took on the Mississippi University for Women this evening in the first round matchup of the USCAA World Series.  Lizzy Scott got the call from Coach Kern to start from the circle.

DuBois got off to a slow start, and unfortunately the Owls from Mississippi got off to a quick start on the bats.  DuBois would finally get on the board in the 3rd inning when Malliah Schreck singled in Skylar Ceprish

Scott would go out after 3 innings before Brittney Williams would come in for relief for 2 and 1/3 innings of work.  Brooke Harvey would come in to finish the game, but it was too little too late.

The ladies will play tomorrow at 10:30am in the 2nd round against Mont Alto.
