Another Road Split

Another Road Split

Penn State DuBois Softball travelled to Philadelphia yesterday afternoon to take on PSUAC divisional opponent Brandywine.  Game 1 started strong for DuBois from the plate after third baseman Brooke Harvey drew a walk to start the game.  Aspen Bishop would then send a fly ball double to the outfield to bring Harvey in to score, and DuBois never looked back.

Harvey and Malliah Schreck would both leg out triples off of big hits to the outfield, four girls would have at least 2 RBI's, and no DuBois hitters would strike out.

From the mound, starte Lizzy Scott had another typical big outing.  Scott would go a complete game giving up only 4 hits, 1 run, and struck out 10 opposing batters.

Game 2 was a little different for DuBois.  Brandywine's pitcher, Brooke Sorrentino pitched a 2 hit shut-out with 4 strikeouts.

Harvey and Skylar Ceprish were the lone hits for this game.  Harvey struck out 4, and allowed only 8 hits, but each hit was capitalized on as Brandywine would win game 2, 8-0.

DuBois comes back home today to play another double header matchup against Brandywine.
