PSUD wins 2 in a Row

Behind another strong team effort, Penn State DuBois mens basketball team prevailed 93-76 over Penn State New Kensington at home on Tuesday night. PSUD came out strong, taking the lead early and never giving it back. PSUD used a pressure defense that forced tough shots leading to many transition looks for PSUD. In the first half, PSUD was 20-34 from the field and 6-14 from 3 giving them the lead at the break 50-39.

A second half run was sparked by a steal and kick ahead to Tyler Woodard (Smethport PA/Smethport) for a throw down dunk that lead to PSUD pushing the lead to as many as 21. Same Roselli (Ridgway, PA/Ridgway) led all scorers with 28 and 9 rebounds for PSUD. Senior Nooch Williams (Philidelphia,PA/Franklin Learning Center) and Junior Kyle Mills (Bushkill,PA/East Stroudsburg North) each chipped in with 14 points.

Coach Dylan Howard's thoughts on the game, "Sam has been playing well for us lately, the team does a good job of finding him then playing inside out. I also thought our team defense was the best it has been all year. We are in the middle of a 5 games in 7 days stretch. It was crucial we started this stretch with 2 wins."

PSUD continues this NBA like schedule Thursday night at Westmoreland County Community College, then Saturday at PSU Wilkes-Barre, and Sunday at PSU Worthington Scranton.
