Penn State Men defeat Div. III opponent Alfred State in opener
The Penn State DuBois Men's Basketball team got off to a great start with a convincing 90-72 win over NCAA Division III Alfred University. PSUD raced out to a 46-33 halftime lead behind 17 first half point from Chris Dickison. PSUD pushed the lead to 18 points in the first half before Alfred rallied to cut the lead to 4 points with 6:45 remaining in the game. PSUD then went on a huge run sparked by their defensive intensity to win the game 90-72. DuBois was led by Josh Salter's 26 point, 10 rebound effort and Chris Dickison's 26 point, 6 rebound performance.
PSUD is now 1-0 on the young season. The Nittany Lions will travel to Mansfield on Wednesday to take on NCAA Div. II Mansfield University.
