DuBois baseball defeated UC-Clermont this afternoon in the semi-final game at the USCAA World Series.  McLain Welshans started from the mound for DuBois and kept Clermont scoreless until the 4^th inning.  DuBois would strike first though as they scored 4 runs in the top of the 3^rd inning.  DuBois would score runs in the 5^th, 6^th, and 7^th innings to break the game open.  Clermont would score 2 more runs in the bottom of the 7^th but wouldn't be enough to beat DuBois.

Welshans would pitch 3 and 2/3rds innings giving up only 3 hits.  Jeff Romano would come in relief for Welshans and go the rest of the way with 3 strikeouts and only 1 run scored.  Brandon Sicheri would go 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's while Tyler Yough would go 1 for 4 with 2 RBI's and a stolen base.  Nicholas Cagliola would go 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and Cory Lehman would hit for 2 RBI's. 

DuBois will play in the championship game Thursday at 6:30pm at Shower's Field.
