As expected, it was another pitchers' duel in the DuBois against Mont Alto matchup.  Two of the best pitchers in the PSUAC squared up to face off in the second round of the PSUAC playoffs this afternoon at Shower's Field.  Taylor Boland did not disappoint the crowd as he pitched a gem for DuBois with 7 strikeouts and allowing only 1 run in his complete game performance.

DuBois would get on the board first offensively after Tyler Yough was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score Cory Lehman in the top of the 2nd inning.  Mont Alto would come back in the bottom of the 3rd with a single from Jarrett Goodyear that would score Jared Pine.  In the top of the 5th DuBois would score their final run of the night off of a Lehman fielder's choice to bring in Brett Beith to put DuBois up, 2-1.

In the bottom of the final inning, Mont Alto would have the tying run on first base, but a dart from catcher, Grant Lillard would pick off the stealing baseman to end the game.

DuBois will face PSU Brandywine in the next round of the PSUAC Championship Playoffs on May 7th at 2:00pm.  That game will take place at Medlar Field in State College, PA.
