DuBois Bats Come Alive

DuBois baseball hosted a double header at Showers Field against PSU New Kensington this afternoon.  Zach Tiracorda pitched a 6 inning, 5 strike out game.  Brett Beith and Bryce Dobson each went 2 for 3 from the plate, each having 2 RBI's a piece as well.  Beith would hit 2 doubles in the game, and both Tylor Herzing and Alex Gavlock each had 2 steals.  DuBois would take game 1, 9-3.

Game 2 would have Taylor Boland on the mound for DuBois.  Through 4 innings Boland struck out 7 batters and allowed only 3 hits before Cole Knable would come in relief for 1 inning of work to finish the game.  Tanner LaBenne would help seal the win with a huge home run over the center field fence that would put DuBois up, 11-1.  Beith would add in 2 more doubles for the day along with a double for Cory Lehman and Tyler Yough.  Beith would have 3 more stolen bases in the game and Grant Lillard would hit 3RBI's.
