Baseball Sweeps The Series With GA

The baseball team travelled to Greater Allegheny today for a double header against the PSUAC opponent.  DuBois took the first 2 games of the series last night at Showers Field.  McLain Welshans got the start for game 1 and pitched a complete game for DuBois.  Welshans got 3 insurance runs from his team in the top of the 3rd inning, and that would be enough to win as Greater Allegheny would score only 2 runs in the game.  Welshans would allow only 2 hits on 7 runs for the win.

Connor Cherry would get the start for game 2 and DuBois would jump out to an early 4-0 start.  Cherry would pitch the complete game, 2-hit shutout for DuBois.  Tyler Herzing would go 3 for 3 with 3 RBI's while Bryce Dobson would go 2 for 2 with 2 RBI's.  Dobson and Colby Bodtorf would both hit for doubles also in the 10-0 win that swept the series.

Baseball will be back in action on Monday when they host Houghton College at Stern Field at 2pm and 4pm.
