DuBois Suffers Defeat

DuBois Suffers Defeat

Penn State DuBois baseball hosted the Clarion University Golden Eagles last night at Showers Field.  In a night of lots of pitching work for DuBois Braiden Blair would get the start from the mound.  Clarion would strike first with a solo home run in the top of the 1st, but DuBois would retaliate in the bottom half of the inning with an RBI from Logan Wagner that would score Tylor Herzing

A tough inning in the 3rd for DuBois would see the Eagles put up 5 runs to go up, 6-1.  In the bottom of the 5th however, Daniel Stauffer would give a left to DuBois with his first at bat of the game.  With Trevor Hanna and Wagner both on base, Stauffer would hit a high shot over the left center field fence to put 3 more on the board.

Unfortunately, that would be the last score for DuBois on the night.  Clarion would tack on 1 more run in the 8th inning, and go on to win the game, 7-4.

Herzing would go 3 for 5 form the plate, Wagner would go 2 for 2.
