DuBois Forces a Final Game

DuBois Forces a Final Game

The scenario for this double elimination tournament is now at the championship game.  If DuBois defeats Mont Alto in this game, they face a final championship game.  If Mont Alto wins, there are the new PSUAC Champion.

Toner Corl hasn't seen the mound much this season, but was given the start in this game.  Corl threw 4 strong innings for DuBois, allowing only 4 hits from Mont Alto.  By the end of the 5th, after Trevor Hanna had come in for relief after 4, Mont Alto lead by a score of 4-1.  DuBois bats were getting the ball in play, but right to the fielders from the opposition.

Finally, in the top of the 6th inning DuBois had a breakthrough.  With the bases loaded, Hanna smashed a double that cleared the bases and tied the game at 4-4.  DuBois wasn't done there either as they would add 2 more runs off of a Brett Beith double, and 1 more off of a Cole Breon double.  Those would be the last runs of the game for either team as Hanna would finish the game from the mound with 3 strikeouts in 3 innings, and allowing only 1 run on 2 hits.

DuBois will face Mont Alto again tomorrow in the final PSUAC Championship game.
