DuBois Moves On To The Championship

Today started the semifinals of the PSUAC Championship Tournament at Showers Field.  Penn State DuBois had to first get passed PSU Brandywine to see who would make it to the championship game against Mont Alto.

Morgan Bell would get the start for DuBois on the mound, and would deal for 5 innings of hard work.  The first 2 innings would go scoreless for both teams, but then DuBois would get things started in the 3rd inning.  Doubles by Joseph Dipietro and Logan Wagner really set the tone as DuBois would cruise in 5 runs to take the lead.  Another double by Daniel Stauffer would score 2 more runs in the 4th to give DuBois the 7-0 lead.

Brandywine would score 2 runs, but Samuel Cheng would come in relief for Bell in the 6th inning, and shut down his batters with 2 strikeouts.  Nolan Walters, David Kozlowski, and Blaise Roush would come in to finish the game out as DuBois would win, 11-5 to advance to the championship game.

Bell would have 4 strikeouts, and allow only 2 runs.  Cory Lehman would go 3 for 5 form the plate that included a triple, and 2 RBI's.
