Penn State DuBois is excited to announce the signing of Madison Sitarek. Maddie is a senior at Century High School in Sykesville, Maryland, just outside of Baltimore.

Penn State DuBois Head Coach, Jason Kern said the versatility of Madison will benefit her and the softball program. "Madi is the true definition of a Utility Player. She has the ability to play 3B, any of the OF positions and we can move her to other positions in the infield if needed. She ran track in high school and that has helped her quickness out of the box. She has the speed to leg out an infield single and at the same time, she has power to hit the ball out of the ballpark", Kern said. Kern feels like Madison has a chance to make an immediate impact on the team. "She has a high softball IQ and she's willing to be coached. She made a good impression on me during the recruiting process and we have received good feedback from coaches and players that have played against her during travel ball. She comes from a good, supportive family and I look forward to having her on campus next Fall."

Penn State DuBois is coming off a 4th place finish in the Small College World Series and opens the 2022 season in Florida in early March.
