Creighton Promoted to Associate Head Coach

Penn State DuBois Head Women's Basketball Coach Pat Lewis announces the promotion of Scott Creighton to Associate Head Coach. After 32 years of coaching at various levels HS, NCAA Division 2, and NCAA Division 1, Creighton has spent the past two seasons as a PSUD Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.

"Scott's promotion is well deserved. He has a diverse basketball coaching background and we have similar coaching philosophies and overall values. Scott knows the type of student/athlete that I like to recruit into our program, and he has done a great job locating potential players that fit our style of play. One of Scott's many strengths is individual player development in which he will have an expanded roll. We work well together, and I feel that the whole coaching staff compliments one another. Together, we plan to continue working to shape the Penn STate DuBois women's basketball program into a nationally recognized program," said Lewis who this past season, saw the women's basketball program collect 16 wins.  This total ties the record for most wins in a season, as well as earned their first ever PSUAC playoff win to advance to the semi-finals of the PSUAC playoffs.

On the promotion, Creighton stated, "I am very grateful to be a part of a program with such a family type atmosphere and tradition of excellence. It's such a tight-knit coaching staff, between myself, Coach Lewis, and Coach Pernesky, that I am happy to continue as a part of the women's basketball program with an expanded roll including more responsibilities. Over the past four seasons, PSUD has had a 59-38 (.608) win-loss record as well as reaching the playoffs three times during that stretch and I am looking forward to continuing our previous success of the program."
