The Penn State DuBois volleyball team hosted New Kensington Saturday afternoon. DuBois was looking for their 4th straight PSUAC victory after just defeating Beaver on Thursday night.
New Kensington started off on fire, and DuBois could not find an answer in the first set, losing 25-18.
Coach Alberts noted, "I told the team after the first set that they have to find some fire because (New Ken) came to play."
DuBois took Coach Albert's words to heart as they gave it right back to New Ken in the second set, winning 25-10. With all of the momentum, DuBois carried everything they had into the third and fourth sets, and took them both 25-9 to take the match, 3-1.
Sydney Kaschalk led all hitters with 17 kills with Skylar Ceprish adding in 12 of her own. Setter Catherine Gregory put up 41 assists for DuBois, and Kyara Girvan owned the serving line as she hit in 8 service aces.
