Milestone Moment...

The DuBois volleyball team hosted Westmoreland County last night for their final regular season home match.  It was also a great night to recognize those players who will not be returning for next season, but as good as this team is, they knew that after the festivities they still had a job to do.

DuBois jumped out to an early 8-1 lead in the beginning of the first set, and they never stopped until the final whistle blew.  With the normal results from the setting duo of Brittany English and Alyssa Simbeck, the front line dominance from Keara Shrefler and Allison Easton continued like any other day at the office.

Shrefler and Easton had 14 and 13 kills respectively to lift the team on its senior night.  English ended with 18 assists, and Simbeck with 14.  SImbeck was also recognized before the game for her 1,000th career assist.  That puts Simbeck at the top of the list for Penn State DuBois as the all-time leader in assists.

DuBois volleyball is sitting in a good enough position to know that last night's senior night match will not be the last time they play in front of their home crowd as they wait patiently to see who from the PSUAC they will host on Oct. 24th in the first round of the PSUAC playoffs.
