The PSUD Lady Lions defeat Schuylkill and Mont Alto to improve their record to 12-2.

This past weekend proved very successful as the lady lions went 3-1 and beat both PSUAC opponents Schuylkill and Mont Alto on Sunday to improve their record to 12-2.  They defeated Schuylkill 3-0 and had a thrilling match against Mont Alto.  Against Mont Alto the Lady Lions lost the first game but then rallied back to win the next three taking the match 3-1.  The last game was intense as they were up 24-21 and Mont Alto scored 2 straight but the Lady Lions held strong and scored the winning point, winning the game 25-23 to end the match. 

Coach Alberts said "I told the team that Mont Alto was going to be a tough match as I had watched video of them and knew they were a strong defensive team.  I told them we needed to get our block set and be quick on defense.  I'm proud to say they did just that and pulled off a great win.  It was exciting not only for our team but also our fans."  Weekend leaders were Melody Young 48 kills 8 aces 118 digs, Keara Shrefler 41 kills 14 aces 80 digs, Alyssa Simbeck 123 Assist 7 Aces, Grace Earle 36 Kills, and Gabby Wolff 87 digs. 

PSUD takes on PSUAC opponent Beaver at home Wednesday night at 7 pm.
