State College, PA
The Apprentice School led by Coach Micah Amrozowicz came into the weekend tournament with a full team and blitzed the field of 13 teams with a dominating team performance; claiming 4 individual titles. Key for Apprentice was that they had wrestlers placing in each of the 11 weight classes. Leading the way for Apprentice were champions, Colton Messick 125lbs., Shalek Colon 141lbs., Chad Simmons 157lbs., William Graham 197lbs.
Placing 2nd in the team standings was Alderson-Broaddus with 3 individual champions, Curtis Cox 133lbs., Logan Shurina 165lbs., Gino Sita 174lbs. The next 5 teams were bunched closely, 3rd through 7th place in the teams standings were only separated by 7 ½ points.
Penn State DuBois was led by John Prentice at 174lbs placing 2nd. Bryce Hanley took 4th place at 235lbs.
The top finishing team in the PSUAC conference was PSU Fayette with 72 points. Fayette also claimed 2 titles in Gunner Lynch 235lbs., and Nathan Spinetti 285lbs.
