Penn State Dubois falls to The Apprentice School

Bellefonte, PA. – The Apprentice School wrestling team jumped out to a 23-0 advantage after four matches and rolled to a 50-9 win over Penn State Dubois at the match held at Bellefonte Area High School on Saturday afternoon. The two teams met on November 12th at the Electric City Duals at Scranton University with PS DuBois winning 25-21. This time Apprentice had their full line-up in place and DuBois was without a couple wrestlers out due to injury. Registering wins for PS DuBois were Shane Alterio at 157lbs with an 8-4 victory, and Chike Okolo was awarded a forfeit.
The match was hosted at Bellefonte Area HS in effort to take a home dual out to a high school venue to showcase the wrestling in the PSUAC and USCAA. Both teams participated in the PSUAC/USCAA National Wrestling invitational on Sunday at Rec Hall in University Park. Prior to the college match; two youth teams competed in 22 matches pitting young wrestlers from Philipsburg-Osceola against Bellefonte Area young grapplers.
