The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team hosted Penn State Fayette this afternoon in a west divisional matchup of the PSUAC. DuBois came into the game maintaining 3rd place in the west division behind only Shenango and Beaver.
DuBois came out to the lead early in the game, but Fayette kept the score close as the final after the first quarter of play would be in favor of DuBois, 16-10. A dominating 6 rebound performance in the second quarter by Natalie Bowser would see DuBois go on an 18-2 run in that quarter to take them into the locker room leading at the half, 34-12.
The third quarter would be much of the same as DuBois would continue to pour in the points and fire up their defense and would cruise to a 72-43 victory.
Bowser would finish with 22 points and 15 rebounds, while Shannon Shaw would go 7-14 from three-point land to put up 21 points for DuBois. DuBois defense would hold Fayette to just 17 made field goals for the game.
DuBois will travel to Penn State Greater Allegheny on Wednesday evening for a 6:00 pm tip-off time.
