
The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team returned to action last night after the holiday break to host Berkeley College in the PAW Center in DuBois, PA.
DuBois looked to start the game on a tear as the went on an 11-0 run in the first 3 minutes of the 1st quarter. Berkeley would close the gap, and take the lead in the 2nd quarter that give them lead going into halftime, 36-29.
Berkeley would hold on to that lead throughout the second half, but not without a fight from the Lady Lions of DuBois as they would win the 4th quarter to close the gap on the lead, and to make an exciting final minutes for the faithful in attendance.
DuBois Elizabeth Hungiville (Smethport) would lead the team in scoring with 13 points as she also added 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Natalie Bowser (Keystone) dropped in 12 points and added 7 rebounds, and Frances Milliron (Clarion Limestone) and Shannon Shaw (Tyrone) would both contribute 10 points each in the contest.
The Lady Lions will return to action on Friday night when they travel to PSUAC opponent, Penn State Hazleton for a 6:00 pm tip.
