Penn State DuBois Women's Basketball is proud to announce that Lauren Young from Bellefonte Area High School will continue her basketball career at the DuBois Campus of Penn State. A two-year starter at Bellefonte, as a senior, Lauren helped lead her team to the District 6/8/9 Championship game, as well as advancing to the PIAA State Playoffs. Lauren was selected this past season to the Mountain League All-Star team (2nd team). The 5'10" team captain averaged nearly 10 points and 9 rebounds per game as a senior and she has been accepted into the Penn State Administration of Justice program. "Lauren will be a perfect fit at Penn State DuBois. She is a good athlete, hard worker, and a strong student. She is an aggressive rebounder and has a strong desire to succeed. I'm excited that she will be joining our program at PSUD," stated PSUD head coach Pat Lewis.
