DuBois Lady Lions Win Again

The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team improved their record to (4-1) with a

56-42 win over Butler County Community College on Tuesday night. The PSUD squad

has now won three games in a row heading into the holiday break.

The Lady Lions used a strong defensive effort while they built a 30-16 halftime lead.

Hope Bridge (Punxsutawney) scored a team high 13 points and Melody Young (Otto

Eldred) hauled in a game high 14 rebounds.

"This was by far and away our best defensive effort of the season so far. Butler gave us

our only loss so far two weeks ago, scoring 70 points in the first game. Our girls did a

great job of playing team defense in making them work for every point tonight," stated

PSUD head coach Pat Lewis. He added, "Every girl on the team played a pivotal role in

this win. We beat a very good team tonight."

The Lady Lions return to action as they travel to meet NCAA Division II Lock Haven

University, Tuesday, November 29, 2016. Game time is 7:00.
