
In the 2nd round of the PSUAC Championship Tournament, DuBois took on the #1 seed in the west, Mont Alto.
DuBois would be the away team, and were able to get their bats going first and fast. With a leadoff double from Skylar Ceprish, Brooke Harvey would score on the next batter as Brooke Harvey would hit a single up the middle. Brittney Williams would drive in Cierra Karly Rumsky and Malliah Schreck for 2 more runs. Cierra O'Shell would then cross the plate after a fielders choice by Larissa James-LaBranche. DuBois would end their first at bat with 4 runs.
Lizzy Scott would be in the circle for DuBois, and would hold Mont Alto to only 1 run through 4 innings. In the top of the 2nd, DuBois would start all over again with their hitting and scoring. Aspen Bishop and Schreck would have back to back doubles to score 1 run each before O'Shell would single to score Schreck. Again, James-LaBranche would score O'Shell to get the 4th and final run of the inning for DuBois.
DuBois would score 2 more in the 4th before a scoring party in the 5th thanks to another team effort of great hitting. Mont Alto would start a rally as they scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 5th, but it was too little too late as DuBois would go on to win the game in 5 innings, 16-8.
Scott would finish the game with 6 strikeouts, and allowing only 3 earned runs. Schreck would go 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's, and added 1 double, and 1 triple. Bishop had 2 RBI's on 2 doubles, and Williams would total 3 RBI's to help the cause for DuBois.
DuBois will play in the PSUAC semifinals tomorrow after the snow pushed games back today, game time 3:00 pm.
