The men's basketball team hosted west division opponent PSU Greater Allegheny this afternoon at the PAW Center in DuBois. A good start for both teams go the capacity crowd into it early. Jaiquil Johnson put up a quick 10 points to get DuBois rolling, and with some tough defensive possessions DuBois would head into the locker room with a 33-30 point lead.
A huge 2nd half too for Johnson would keep DuBois neck and neck with the opposition, but unfortunately with 2 minutes left, Greater Allegheny would pull away for the win. Johnson would lead his team offensively with 28 points, Beau Verdill would add in a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Verdill would also grab 5 steals while Guy Anthony would grab 9 boards.
DuBois will be back in action for their last home game of the season on Wednesday as they host PSU Beaver for an 8:00 pm tip.
