Tough Loss for DuBois

Tough Loss for DuBois

The Penn State DuBois men's basketball team hosted PSU Greater Allegheny on Saturday afternoon.  DuBois came into the game on a three game winning streak in the PSUAC, and were looking to get their fourth to boost them into a tie for a playoff spot.

Greater Allegheny would take the lead at the half, 28-23, but DuBois that a 5-point deficit on their home floor was nothing to be concerned about.  Coming out of the locker room, DuBois started getting some major offensive firepower from Russell Gariepy (Albion, PA).  Unfortunately, Greater Allegheny hit three straight 3-point shots late in the game to take over with only 2 minutes remaining.  That would be the difference for DuBois as their winning streak would come to an end.

Gariepy finished with 22 points on 4-5 from the 3-point line, and 9 rebounds.  DuBois will travel to PSU Beaver on Tuesday for an 8:00 pm tip.
