The Penn State DuBois Golf season got underway on Tuesday at DuBois Country Club under beautiful skies and temperatures that reached the mid 80's. Five men's teams and two ladies teams competed in the match, Thiel College coming in first with a team score of 308. Leading the way for Thiel was Medalist Jason Thorp with a 69. Top performer for PSU DuBois was Alex Acree who shot a 75 on the par 71 course.
The team results were very competitive on this course for opening competition for all teams;
2nd place was Kent State Tuscarawas (328), 3rd PSU DuBois (331), 4th Mt Aloysius (335), 5th PSU New Kensington (347). The Mt Aloysius ladies won over the Thiel College lady Tom Cats.
PSU DuBois will be back in action on Thursday September 8th at the White Course in State College in a PSUAC conference Invitational. Shot gun start at 9am
