DuBois baseball hosted a double header at Showers Field against PSU New Kensington this afternoon. Zach Tiracorda pitched a 6 inning, 5 strike out game. Brett Beith and Bryce Dobson each went 2 for 3 from the plate, each having 2 RBI's a piece as well. Beith would hit 2 doubles in the game, and both Tylor Herzing and Alex Gavlock each had 2 steals. DuBois would take game 1, 9-3.
Game 2 would have Taylor Boland on the mound for DuBois. Through 4 innings Boland struck out 7 batters and allowed only 3 hits before Cole Knable would come in relief for 1 inning of work to finish the game. Tanner LaBenne would help seal the win with a huge home run over the center field fence that would put DuBois up, 11-1. Beith would add in 2 more doubles for the day along with a double for Cory Lehman and Tyler Yough. Beith would have 3 more stolen bases in the game and Grant Lillard would hit 3RBI's.
