The baseball team travelled to PSU Beaver today for a conference double header. Zach Tiracorda would get the nod to start for DuBois and would pitch his 2nd complete game in a row. DuBois bats would give their pitcher a ton of help as they would put up 15 runs in the game. Tiracorda would pitch a 3-hit shut out to go along with his 6 strikeouts for the 15-0 win. Brett Beith would have a day from the plate as he would go 3 for 4 with 4 RBI's. Tyler Yough would hit for 2 doubles in the game while Beith and Dylan Treaster would each add a double themselves. Beith would also steal 3 bases in the win.
Taylor Boland would get the nod to start in game 2, and his offense would give him the same support they gave in game 1. Beaver would get 1 run in the 1st inning, but DuBois would put a string of runs together that would amass to another big win over Beaver, 12-1. Boland would pitch the complete game 1-hit, 5 strikeout game. Grant Lillard, Cory Lehman, and Yough would all hit triples in the game 2 win, and Beith would add in another 2 RBI's.
DuBois will be back in action tomorrow at Showers Field for a 1:00pm double header against Beaver.
