The baseball team travelled to PSU Fayette for a doubleheader last night. Connor Cherry was red hot for DuBois in game 1 as pitched a 2 hit shutout with 6 strikeouts. Cherry got the offensive burst he needed coming in the 4th inning when DuBois got 2 runs off of a Cory Lehman ground ball that scored Bryce Dobson, and a Hayden Vaughn double that scored Lehman. That would be enough for DuBois as they would go on to take the first game, 2-0.
Game 2 started a little different for DuBois as they scores a quick 3 runs in the top of the 1st inning. Fayette would grab 2 of those runs back, but DuBois would blow the lead open with a 6 run 3rd inning and another 7 run 6th inning. DuBois would take game 2 behind Jeff Ramon's 5 inning, 5 hit work from the mound. Kyle Elensky and Grant Lillard would each hit a home run on the day. Lillard would also hit a double and 3 RBI's for the game.
