The Penn State DuBois cross country runners showed a strong start in their first race for the PSUAC at the Penn State Greater Allegheny Invitational.  Nolan Fairman and Rebecca Maine proved once again that the Penn State DuBois cross country program is always a top contender for the conference.  Rebecca Maine took 6th overall with a time of 23:25; which is the best time on the course that any Penn State DuBois runner has ever had.  Nolan Fairman also showed an impressive run for his first official college invitational, as he took 20th overall.  Within the field of runners that were competing under the PSUAC, Maine was 1st and Fairman was 8th.

"In terms of elevation, I think this is the most difficult course in the conference.  We trained hard for it in the weeks leading up.  Right now, we are doing constant assessments and reassessments to find that perfect groove for the championships in October.  Every race leading up to it is just another practice" commented Coach Kyle Gordon.

Penn State DuBois will travel to Penn State Mont Alto for an invitational on Saturday, where they will be joined by the other conference teams for a preview of the PSUAC Championships, which will be held there in October.
