USCAA All-American Awards Announced

The Fall 2018 USCAA Awards Banquet was held last night in Virginia Beach, VA.  Penn State DuBois student-athletes had a good evening collecting the hardware.  With both our Cross Country and Volleyball teams being there for the USCAA National Championships, they were able to attend the ceremonies.

Volleyball's Keara Schrefler, who was this year's PSUAC Player of the Year, earned her place on the First Team All-American category with her outstanding play throughout the season.  Sophomore Allison Easton, who played her first season on the Penn State DuBois roster picked up a spot on the Second Team All-American list.  Only four freshman made either first team, second team, or honorable mention, and one of those freshman was our very own setter, Brittany EnglishAlyssa Simbeck and Gracie Hamilton were recognized for not only their play on the court, but off the court as well.  These two ladies earned a spot on the National All-Academic Team for their outstanding success in the classroom.

Cross Country earned two spots on the USCAA National All-Academic Team as well with runners Rebecca Maine and Jeremy Fischer.  The Cross Country team will compete today in the USCAA National Championship.

The Penn State DuBois Golf team had one member bring home the honors of USCAA National Academic All-American as well.  Brandon Orsich earned this honor for his success in the classroom.  Orsich was also part of the 2 time PSUAC Golf Champions for DuBois, and was First Team All-Conference.

The Volleyball and Cross Country teams are both in Virginia Beach, VA, and will be continuing competition today.  Please visit our website for further results.
