The Penn State DuBois volleyball team is of to a 1-3 start in the early going, but new coach Dave Alberts is happy with the team play and improvements they players have made in 3 weeks.  A 0-3 loss to good Penn Highlands team was a good first test for the players on the road.  The PSUD ladies followed that up with their first win at Pitt-Titusville 3-0; the win was the first win for the team in the last 3 or 4 years.

They returned home to play PSUAC perenial playoff team Greater Allegheny and Beaver. They lost on Sept. 11th to Greater Allegheny 1-3 and on Sept. 14th 0-3 to Beaver.  But in both games they showed solid improvement and the coaches from both opposing teams were impressed with the play and attitude of the PSUD squad.

The only returning player from last year's team is Gabby Wolff, the rest of the team is a mixture of freshman and upper classmen who did not play for the campus team in the past.  The team has nine players who are working extremely hard and will continue to improve and win games this season.
