Penn State DuBois Volleyball drops season opener

The Penn State DuBois  Lady Lion Volleyball team traveled to Central Penn College in Enola, PA on Tuesday night.  Central Penn won the match 3-0 (25-5, 25-20, 25-15).  Despite the loss, Elainna Hilliard had 1 kill and 10 service points and several digs. Patience McCullough earned 3 kills and two digs while Ashley Meyer contributed 10 assists and 4 service points.  The remaining service points came from sophomores Juilanne Inzana (2), Patty Gerhart (4), and Kayla Bailey (5).

Coach Kennis commented on the game " We had to make some last minute adjustments to the line-up that forced us out of our comfort zone.  It took the girls some time to get used to it, but once they settled in, they began to increase their level of play.  We have a lot of work to do yet, but I believe this young team has the potential to create a winning season".

The PSU DuBois squad will be back in action on September 13th & 14th when they host Westmoreland County CC on the 13th at 6pm and (tri-meet) on the 14th against PSU Beaver and Alfred State College.  Saturday's games begin at noon.
