Penn State DuBois Volleyball presents post season awards

The Penn State DuBois volleyball team had their post-season awards recognition dinner on Sunday evening.  Coaches Julia Kennis and Tera Pearce were glad to have the young ladies together for another night to wish the players who are graduating or moving onto to University Park best wishes and thank them for their contributions to the team last season.

Eight of the nine volleyball players received PSUAC Academic All-Conference awards for maintaining a 3.0 or higher gpa; Academic All-Conference winners are: Julianne Heasley, Elainna Hilliard, Ashley Meyer, Taylor Thornhill, Kelsey Schwabenbauer, Karly Carnovale, Patience McCullough, and Kiley Lewis.

Team recognition awards were also presented by Coach Kennis, MVP was awarded to Taylor Thornhill, and two Coaches Awards were presented to Elainna Hilliard and Karly Carnovale for their outstanding play and dedication to the team.

Three of the current team members will return for the 2013 season, Julianna Heasley, Elainna Hilliard, and Patience McCullough will lead the new squad which will add a few players who are currently on campus plus in-coming freshman in August.
