The competative spirit continues to burn within Julia Kennis the first year volleyball coach at Penn State DuBois.  Keeping herself busy with work, a young son, coaching volleyball at the DuBois campus and now trip to Pittsburgh for practice and weekend football games leaves little free time for Coach Kennis.

Penn state DuBois Atletic Coordinator, Ken Nellis "says he was a little skeptical at first when Coach Kennis told him the she was trying out for the Pittsburgh Passion football team.  First off Julia doesn't look like she weighs more that 110 lbs, secondly traveling to Pittsburgh for practice and games is a huge commitment of time and resources."  "I take my hat off to her for the work she puts into her primary job at DuBois Regional Medical Center plus coaching volleyball and now playing football.  She can be a great example to the young women she coaches that go to class, work part-time jobs, and then play an intercollegiate sport".   She gets it all done, so the student-athletes should have no room to complain about not enough hours in the day to study and prepare for volleyball games.   Good luck Coach Julia Kennis !

We will keep you posted on the success of the football team and playing time Julia receives with the Passion.
