Penn State DuBois makes big turn around against WVU Tech to pull off victory over a qulity opponet. A year ago Coach David Hoare took his team to Montgomery, WV to wrestle WVU Tech and came home with only 1 bout won to show foir the effort as WVU Tech dominated the young PSU DuBois team. Turn the calander foreward 1 year; the PSU DuBois wrestlers found a way to turn the tables on the Bears of WVU Tech with a come from behind 28-25 win.
Leading the way for the Nittany Lions were Jake Himes (149) and Joe Knarr (165) with Tech Falls to set the table for freshman heavyweight Bryce Hanley who recorded a fall in the 3rd period over Jason Wainright. In a tight bout Hanley was leading 2-0 after 2 periods, Wainright chose bottom in the 3rd but was never able to break free from Hanley. Hanley turned his opponent with power half series to secure the win for the Nittany Lions.
Also, recording important wins were Garrett Brown (141) and John prentice (174).
In the second match of the day PSU DuBois cruised to a 49-6 win over University of Akron.
