Wrestlers tested at Clarion - Knight Point Open

Coach Matt Park and his wrestlers made the short trip to Clarion University on Sunday to compete in the Knight Point Open which featured a majority of top level Division 1 wrestlers from the East Coast.  284 entrees from top teams such as Pittburgh, Lehigh, Old Dominion, Navy, Bloomsburg, and host Clarion provided stiff competition for the PSU DuBois wrestlers.

Coach Park was pleased with the way many of his athletes were able to compete, they will not face this type of competition until the NCWA National Championships in Allen, TX in March.  Leading the way for DuBois was 197 lber. Chike Okolo who was 2-2 on the day, he lost to eventual champion Jake Henderson of Old Dominion University 8-2 in the quarterfinals.

The wrestlers will be back in action on Saturday at The Electric City Duals at Scranton University.
