Penn State DuBois wrestling team claims Pennsylvania State Championship

PSUD Wrestling wins second PA State Championship 

 Penn State DuBois wrestling captured their second NCWA Pennsylvania State Championship on Saturday at Williamson Free Trade School in Media, PA.  PSU DuBois is Coached by Matt Park, under Park's leadership the PSUD Nittany Lions have claimed the NCWA State title both years since restarting the wrestling program.  14 teams were represented at the wrestling championships, with Penn State DuBois having 9 wrestlers placing in the top 4 in their weight class.

Claiming a state title for PSU DuBois was David Hommell at 133lbs.  Others placing in their weight class as follows:  Nick Bogacki 2nd at 125lbs, Holden Lowe 2nd at 133lbs, Garrett Zarecky 2nd at 141lbs, Ty Albright 4th at 157lbs, Ryan Terwilliger 3rd at 165lbs, Steven Terwilliger 3rd at 174lbs, Anthony Ferguson 2nd at 235lbs, and Jim Mosher 3rd at 285lbs.

The wrestling team will be back in action on February 26th competing at the NCWA Mid-East Regional qualifier at Lafayette College in Easton, PA.   The wrestlers who qualify will represent Penn State DuBois at the NCWA National Championships on March 10-12 at Mercer University in Macon, GA.
