Wrestlers at NCWA North East Qualifier

Wrestling team qualifies 8 to NCWA National Championships - Park (Coach of the Year)

The Penn State DuBois wrestling team had an outstanding weekend at the National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) Mid-East Conference tournament at Lafayette College in Easton, PA on Saturday, February 26th.  The team placed second overall with 96 points behind only West Chester with 136.5 points.  14 teams were entered in the qualifying tournament with six different teams claiming individual weight class honors.

Five Penn State DuBois wrestlers competed in the finals with Jim Mosher claiming the lone title for the Nittany Lions at 285lbs.  Finishing 2nd were David Hommell at 133lbs, Kasey Haines at 141lbs, Ty Albright at 149lbs, and Ryan Terwilliger at 165lbs.  The remaining NCWA qualifiers are Nick Bocki 4th at 125lbs, Stephen Terwilliger 3rd at 174lbs, and Anthony Ferguson 3rd at 285lbs.

The top 4 place finishers in each weight class qualify for the NCWA National Championships held at Mercer University in Macon, GA on March 10-12.  In addition to the team honors - Penn State DuBois head wrestling coach Matt Park was selected as Mid-East Conference Coach of the Year.
