DuBois Women Just Shy On 4th Quarter Comeback

DuBois Women Just Shy On 4th Quarter Comeback

The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team hosted the Knights from Central Penn this evening on the campus of Penn State DuBois.  DuBois came into tonight's game 12-8 overall on the season, and has all but sealed the a PSUAC playoff spot.

An offensive battle to start the game last night neither team could miss from the field.  The Knights took the 21-18 lead at the end of the 1st quarter, and 9-point lead heading into the half.  DuBois came out with firepower, but with a few missed shots, Central Penn took advantage in transition and outscored the Lady Lions by 14 in the 3rd.  DuBois never quit, and came roaring back in the 4th with some strong perimeter shooting, but not enough time was left on the clock.  Central Penn would eventually win the game, 75-62.

Malliah Schreck (Emlenton, PA) would have another one of her signature double-double showings as the DuBois fans are welcomingly used too.  Schreck put up 18 points, and pulled down 12 rebounds on the night.  Lexey Shick (Rimersburg, PA) scored 12 points, had 4 assists, and 3 steals.

DuBois hosts PSU New Kensington Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm.
