PSUD Women Win Fourth In A Row

The Penn State DuBois Women's Basketball team picked up their fourth win in a row as well as

a new school record in their 94-60 win over Pitt Titusville on Monday night. The win gives PSUD

a 10-3 record midway through the season.

Led by Ashley Brown (Otto Eldred) 8 assists, Kashius Harris (Beaver Falls) 4 assists, and Kristen

Williams (Eisenhower) 4 assists, the Lady Lions set a new school record by handing out a team

total 24 assists in the game.

Seven players, six in double figures, benefited from the assists led by Kaelyn Gruver (Redbank

Valley) with a career high 16 points. Also on the other end of the handouts were Kristy Hanes

(Elk County) and Melody Young (Otto Eldred) both had 13 points, while Juliana Vokes

(Brockway), Grace Earle (Cowanesque Valley), and Kristen Williams all added 12 points. Hope

Bridge (Punxsutawney) netted 8 points.

Penn State DuBois, currently ranked 7th in the USCAA Coach's Poll will be facing an important

weekend as they travel to Penn State Brandywine (Friday, 6:00) and Penn State Lehigh Valley

(Saturday, 5:00 at Lehigh University). Brandywine is currently ranked 8th in the polls while

Lehigh Valley is ranked 2nd.
